Focus: Yoga for Hypermobile Bodies
September Studio Closure
Member Dashboard Access
Hiring Teachers: 2027
As a yoga teacher living in a hypermobile body (related to an immune-system-functioning-related diagnosis) who has practiced yoga in this body for over 30 years, I have developed a movement practice and teaching approach that applies safety and efficiency principals specifically supportive of hypermoble bodies. I closely follow developing research in the area of Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders and am actively receiving as much relevant training as possible to support my students and my own hypermobile body in my yoga practice.
While research is still in its infancy, well-established movement principals already exist to support the hypermobile body.
If you identify as hypermobile (its not always obvious) or want to learn more, stay tuned.
Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) is a connective tissue condition where joints move beyond the normal range, sometimes causing pain, instability, or injury. 20% of the population is hypermobile, and 60% of practicing yoga students are!
We'll explore how we can love and support a safe yoga practice in our hypermobile bodies in a 2-class workshop about this challenging physiological adaptation strategy. We'll discuss how it impacts our bodies, and how yoga for the hypermobile body should prioritize strength, joint stability, and efficiency of movement over flexibility.
Then we'll apply what we learn in our physical yoga practice.
Look for more details on this workshop in early winter.
As a rule, if we have to cancel a class or a whole day of classes, we make it up to you that same week if possible.
With that said, the studio will be closed MONDAY, September 14th. Our makeup day is that FRIDAY, September 18th!
7am, 9:15am and 6:30pm classes are published online and ready to book!
Just click the links in the time slots listed above in red to book now!

It's been just five months since we opened our studio to the Boerne community, and we're ready to start planning for growth.
As a first step, we would like to talk with local yoga teachers interested in teaching in a studio. We invite any and all local yoga teachers to our studio for a class to check out the vibe.
At this stage, it's just a conversation. A getting-to-know-you, trust building process. We see this phase taking at least a couple of months while we think through the right partnership model for our studio.
Interested? Know someone who might be? Let us know!

As a new startup, we like to move fast when enough information supports quick changes. In the case of our schedule, we recently decided to drop 2 classes:
Power Lunch: midweek 45 minute afternoon flow
Wednesday's Rise & Flow 2: 9:15 later morning flow
Why?
We added Afternoon Delight on Wednesdays, meaning your instructor would teach four classes that day with R&F2 on the schedule. Until we bring on additional teachers, our schedule will remain trim but generous.
With regard to our 45 minute Power Lunch class, it never really took off. We'd rather focus on providing a schedule that serves the community.
Saturday's 10am class has been laid to rest. RIP.
We slid everything to the right in an effort to allow the hectic activity surrounding some Saturday mornings downtown to cool.
With that in mind, our new Saturday schedule:
12:15pm: Power Brunch 1 hour flow
2:15pm: Weekend Warrior 1 hour flow
We'll be reaching out via email next week with a Call For Interest in joining the program. We'll ask that you reply to that email indicating interest. Once we have at least 5 interested students, we'll democratically schedule a new start date for the 8 week program.

Monday, August 3rd marked Amy Ozuna's 50th class since renewing her yoga practice with Gentle Dragon Yoga Boutique just five months ago. Amy found us before we even officially opened our doors.
It all started with a text. Amy was returning to her yoga practice after some time away, and had been searching for a studio to call home. The right vibes. Not too big. Challenging but accessible.
We officially opened our doors on March 16th and Amy has been a dedicated student ever since, steadily turning her yoga practice into an admirable discipline. Amy embodies the qualities of a yogi; she's kind, honest, compassionate and dedicated to living a life of integrity.
She enjoys seeking precision in her asana practice so we’ve worked closely together, refining her physical movements over time. In her own words, she experiences better sleep, and improved overall mobility.
It has been an absolute joy to watch Amy grow stronger and cultivate confidence and self-compassion in her practice.
Congratulations, Yogi Amy. 🙏
